About Jackson Hole

Meet Greg Hahnel

As a longtime Jacksonite, I have come to love all that the Tetons have to offer. It is from this sense of place that I have devoted myself to my community and providing expert level real estate guidance.

I take great pride in providing my buyers and sellers long-term wealth building strategies, expert negotiation, cutting edge marketing, and individualized care. I steadfastly work to keep my clients up to date on the value of their homes/investments and adopt a data-driven approach that yields greater insight into real estate valuation.

Whether a first-time buyer or a high net worth investor, I will always treat you with respect and dignity as you navigate the complexities of a real estate transaction. I am committed to being a confidante, advocate, and partner for you. Real estate provides a means toward economic freedom and I do not take this responsibility lightly. As a Partner of the Mountain Standard Team at Compass, I look forward to leveraging our decades of experience for you!

When I am not selling property, you can find my wife, daughter, and I enjoying the multitude of world-class restaurants, cultural and outdoor activities that Jackson Hole has to offer.

North Of Jackson

The Tetons set the tone for living north of town. At nearly every turn, the craggy peaks take primacy in the private residential enclaves carved between public lands. Many properties retain their cowboy character with equestrian outbuildings and river access. With Moose only minutes away, Grand Teton National Park becomes an extended backyard. In spite of such wilderness immersion, all the conveniences of town lie only a short drive—or bike—away.

South Of Jackson

Bordered by conservation easements, southern properties offer neighborhood vibes amid the sweeping panorama. Working ranches continue to operate south of Town, imbuing an authentic Western aesthetic to many of the surrounding developments. Pathways and public lands invite exploring on foot and bikes in warmer months, while winter finds the same routes groomed for Nordic skiing. Easy access to the Snake River and its tributaries rounds out the recreational side to this quietly suburban setting, all infinitely accessible by multimodal travel.

West Of Jackson

Rich in ranching history, the western foothills of the Tetons attract an eclectic mix anchored by old-timers. On the west side of the Snake lies Wilson, where the downtown feels tucked back in time with its quaint outposts and local lore, while the surrounding residential developments offer greater acreage without sacrificing convenience. Recreational opportunities abound, from fly-fishing the Snake River to horseback riding along wilderness trails and finishing the back nine by lunchtime. Perched at the foot of Teton Pass, Wilson allows for easy access to both Teton Village and neighboring Idaho.

  • TETON VILLAGE

Slopeside living at its finest, while being impressively family-friendly. True to the hype, Teton Village remains an international destination for serious skiers and boarders. As a surprise to most, the expansive terrain is just as welcoming to all ages and skill levels. As such, the village and its scenic surrounds appeal to vacationers and second-home owners through a plethora of high-end properties and its close proximity to the slopes and Grand Teton National Park’s southern entrance. Acting as the area’s primary anchor, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort offers year-round recreational outlets, from powder pursuits in winter to mountain biking and festivals come summer.

  • Teton Valley

Known for its attainability for families and first-time homeowners, the western flank of the Tetons has become a lifeline for the valley workforce. Many residents commute over Teton Pass, which makes the communities of Victor, Driggs and Alta simultaneously interwoven and distinct. Property prices tend to fall below the million-dollar mark, even amid ever-improving infrastructure. Outdoor outlets abound, from adventuring in the Big Holes to enjoying untracked powder at Grand Targhee Resort. More laid-back than its neighbor, Teton Valley revels in a more slow and steady way of life.

  • Star Valley

Linked to the Tetons by way of the stunning Snake River Canyon, Star Valley offers a more accessible market marked by fewer amenities. A quiet, country ethos pervades the towns along the Palisades Reservoir, and ranching remains a reality for many. As such, properties often allow for horses, and some subdivisions attract with public golf courses. The nearby Caribou Range welcomes multi-use recreationalists in keeping with Wyoming’s core character.
